The Ring

There was a man who went with his wife to a jewellery shop and a particular ring caught the man's eye. He requested to try it on, and was pleased by how fine the ring looked on his finger. He proceeded to remove it but found that he couldn't. He panicked and the salesperson, along with his wife, tried all means and methods to remove the ring from his finger. In the end, the salesperson applied some sort of lubricant and the ring slipped off easily. The couple breathed a sigh of relief and the wife was about to turn and leave the shop when she realised that her husband had bought the ring.
Later, in the car on the way home, the wife asked her husband why he bought the ring.
'Well, I was embarassed that I had caused them so much trouble so I decided to buy it anyway to thank them.'
'But dear, how much did it cost?'
The husband hesitates and whispers the price of the ring, a guilty look on his face.
'WHAT? How could it cost so much money? Look at the ring! It has a crack on the inside! We have to go and exchange it for another one right now.'
'It's not worth it. We're already home anyway. Just forget about it, forget it.'
As they open the door of their house, the husband mentions casually,'It's funny but just as I left the shop another man's finger got stuck in a ring, too! Wasn't it such a coincidence?'
The wife bangs her head on the wall and cries,'You've been conned! The salesperson purposely chose a ring smaller than the one you requested for so it would get stuck on your finger! How come he had a container of lubricant right under the counter? And then selling it to you for an exorbitant price? You're just so... Arghh!!!'
She proceeds to storm into the bedroom and locks the door, leaving her husband to hit his own head on the door at his foolishness.
In the world today, there are many wolves in sheep's clothing. They might not be who you think they are. We have many names for them: liars, backstabbers, cheaters, and so on. They're main purpose is to gain your trust, or to embarass you enough into helping them get what they want. We must be careful not to trust people too easily, if not we could get easily hurt. It is a shame when people manage to get conned and lose alot of money or break their heart.
Don't let this be your life story. Be wary.
